Make project fit easy to judge
List your real services, typical buyer situations, technical experience and what you require before preparing a quote. A useful first conversation can end with a clear project scope – or a recommendation to do discovery first.

An accessibility brief that says ’make our site WCAG compliant’ is not yet a qualified opportunity. The buyer might need an independent audit, design and development support, documentation or an ongoing testing programme. Each requires different skills and a different scope. This guide helps accessibility consultancies identify better-fit projects before spending time on a pitch.
Define the work you actually deliver
An audit-led consultancy should not be presented as interchangeable with a frontend implementation team. Describe your real capabilities, platforms and boundaries, including whether you can fix issues you identify. The clearer the offer, the easier it is for a buyer to assess fit.
- Audit and research: assistive technology testing, reproducible findings and prioritised remediation plans.
- Implementation: UX, frontend engineering, design systems, content and regression testing.
- Governance: procurement requirements, team training, release checks and accountability over time.
Qualify the buyer’s situation before quoting
Ask why the project exists. The European Accessibility Act has been implemented in Sweden through legislation that took effect on 28 June 2025, but applicability and exemptions depend on the service and organisation. Sweden’s PTS also cautions that automated accessibility tools have limitations. Do not offer legal certainty based on a short enquiry; clarify what needs expert review.
Eight questions for the discovery call
- Which website, app or digital service is in scope, and who uses it?
- Does the buyer need an audit, remediation work or an ongoing assurance process?
- Is the trigger a regulatory obligation, an internal deadline or specific user problems?
- Which languages, platforms, logged-in journeys and third-party components are involved?
- Can the buyer provide a test environment, development access, design files and a decision-maker?
- How will keyboard access, screen readers, forms, checkout and documents be evaluated?
- What budget, timeline and approval process are available?
- Who owns retesting and monitoring after fixes are released?
When to recommend discovery instead of a fixed quote
If a prospect demands a guarantee of full compliance but cannot provide access or define critical user journeys, the work is not ready for a fixed price. Offer a scoped discovery phase to map service boundaries, testing requirements, environments and owners. It protects both sides from a misleadingly cheap proposal.
Position your agency without inflated claims
Explain your actual testing methods, deliverables, platforms and collaboration model. Include relevant examples only when you can substantiate them. Do not imply a certification, legal endorsement or independent verification that has not occurred. Buyers need to know what they will receive and who will implement the findings.
Where Mosai fits into new business
Mosai helps companies describe projects and explore relevant agencies. A clear agency presence makes your scope easier to assess. The Free plan is SEK 0/month. The SEO & AEO agent is a separate service at an introductory SEK 600/month, including ongoing review and two new relevant pages per week. It is not a promise of rankings, traffic or sales.
